Sports Finance & Management Group (“SFMG”) was formed by a number of prominent sports and entertainment
executives. We have joined forces to raise the entertainment/sports venue business to the next economic level. During years of collaborating on various projects, we decided to unite as a formal association. Pooling all of our collective talents has led to newer and greater achievements for each of us.
SFMG offers project planning, project development, as well as financial and management services to professional and collegiate sports enterprises. SFMG’s principals have arranged capital financing valued at more than $3 billion since 1995. Our partners have experience at financing, owning and managing sports facilities, sports franchises, and new or expanding sports leagues.
Sports Finance & Management Group has become a merchant banking company, recognized in the sports and entertainment world for our innovative financial initiatives. We provide new capital to existing sports enterprises by assembling the resources to permit acquisition and the skills to develop new sports franchises and facilities on the professional and collegiate levels.
SFMG’s activities are not limited to financial transactions. Our principals have been active in pay television, cable television, broadcasting and sports telecommunications industries. We have produced over 750 sports broadcasts, totaling nearly 2,000 hours of sports television. Our work includes countless hours of Prime-Time broadcasting. We have negotiated sports media fees in excess of $1 billion.
During 2000 SFMG acquired Themed Entertainment Concepts
Company. TECCO was acquired in response to the basic economic need to combine the growth areas of professional sports with stadium ownership and themed entertainment commercial development. TECCO’s
creates large-scale entertainment destinations by joining sports facilities and
themed attractions into one. SFMG / TECCO’s initial projects are located in California, Nevada, Arizona, Florida, Pennsylvania and Alabama.
